Weekend's Almost Over

I'm on the tail end of my long weekend. Covering one more shift this morning. It's been crazy and I'm exhausted. I talked to my boss yesterday & I'm on the short list for a "promotion." Better hours (morning shift), more money (better tips).

Luke leaves Afghanistan within 48 hours.

I've been reading Cory Maye between shifts. I love the deliberation part. The annotated testimony part is reminiscent of your very first draft that I read of (Byron Case?) where you manipulate the reader in advance to reach your ultimate conclusions. I'm concerned also that the aftermath will be deflated as a result. I'm finding myself editing out most of tsj's commentary during testimony. With respect to the Q & A format, I wonder if we should send out the two formats of the testimony (Q & A format and first-person narrative format) to early readers and poll them on which they prefer.

I just received a call from the bar. Need to be there an hour earlier this morning, so I'm outta here. I'm super tired (home at 3am this morning), but thankful to have a job.

Also, I'm driving the MG for a week. It's SWEET!!!!!!!!
