I'm wading through voir dire. It's fascinating that ALL jurors have formed or expressed an opinion prior to jury selection. That fact is neither explored nor does it constitute a possible reason for excusal. Those whose pre-formed opinions would NOT preclude them from finding defendant guilty of an offense punishable with death are kept in the pool. Those whose opinions WOULD preclude such a finding are automatically exempt.
